Need to I.D. caterpillar ASAP!?!


Question: Need to I!.D!. caterpillar ASAP!!?
A friend of mine was bit by a caterpillar yesterday!.!.!. He said that it was bigger than those fuzzy black ones and it was green with red and black on it!. His finger has swollen up and today he's having flu-like symptoms: nausea, watering eyes, sneezing, hot and cold, runny nose!. We live in Louisiana!. I'm trying to figure out what kind of caterpillar this was!.!.!. He's too stubborn to go to the Doctor!.!.!. so I was hoping to get some info!. Any help would be greatly appreciated!.

I found this site but nothing with big caterpillars though!. A stinging caterpillar is what your friend may have encountered and the websites list several with descriptions of the caterpillars themselves!.
