Are there any doctors in the house?!

Question: Are there any doctors in the house!?
Can someone please tell me why it has taken me two years to get pain releife for severe arthritis in both of my knees and also just finally getting blood work done to find out if I have RA!?
Why when I finally got into a pain management doctor that she put me on a Fentynal patch saying this is what I'm comfortable giving you for now because it's hard to abuse , when in fact I don't drink take their drug tests and pass, and have no history of drug abuse!
Before I even asked for help with my pain I tried physical therapy, knee braces, and almost every non narcotic pain medication out there!. I even refused to go to the pain clinic the first time my doctor brought it up because I was determined to do this without the use of heavy pain medications!.
Now I get this Ultrm for the second time when it didn't help the first time and had a headache for the first three days, well the headache passed!. Then I start my Fentynal patch and have a headache again and no pain releife!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi,

RA can be found out only through Blood Tests!. With the symptoms like knee pains & wrist pains, etc!., the PCPs can misdiagnose it with Osteo Arthritis (OA), and may give wrong medications!. Did you go to a RA specialist or your PCP is giving you medications!? If so, you need to go to a RA specialist immediately to get right medications!.

Do you have any swellings!? Are you having pain only in knees or in other parts too!? What is your age!?

OA has only 2 / 3 kind of medications!. There are many kinds in RA!. Lupus, Fibromialgia are two of them!. Medications will be according to the test results they get (blood & urin)!.

I was suffering with stiff fingers, severe pain in fingers, ankles, toes!. When i went to the doctor she thougt it as OA and prescribed me "Meloxicam"!. When my pains got severe and my whole body was aching, i asked and went to RA specialist!. (since we have HMO) The RA specialist told us that it would have been better if we come earlier!. Now, i am taking "Prednisone" & Plaquenil" to reduce the pains and inflammation of my bones!. "Methotrexate" to reduce the RA!.

Some medications have side effects like head aches, nausea, etc!. Prednisone has the side effect of weight gain, sight problems!.

You have to tell frankly to your doctor that the medicine is not working for you and you need another one!. Otherwise, they will not give!. You have to tell her all the problems you are facing with this medication!.

Did they got the results OR they have to draw the blood yet!? I hope once they find out you have RA, you will be referred to RA specialist!. Is it possible to change the doctor for you!? In my case, we have a group of doctors in our PCP office!. I skipped my regular doctor and went to another one!. He told me to go to RA specialist!. Otherwise, i might be suffering with those pains till today!. I am glad i have changed the doctor!. I am sure you would too!.

What use are they, when they cannot solve our health problems!? I know how painful it is when we cannot take care of our babies, husband, even ourselves because of being sick!. I cannot even imagine how you have beared the pains for 2 years!.

Hang in there!. Take care of yourself!.

**Do not take more than 4 "Tylenol" OR "Motrin" in a day!. It is not good for our healths in long run!. You must be very careful with the pain killers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
