Question: Do narcotic pain meds keep u up!?
Opiates like Percoset, Hydrocodone and Delaudid: I know they make a lot of people sleepy, but they keep me up all night!. Anyone else have similar problems!? Is it safe to take my Ambien with my Hydrocodone, do you think!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

codiene make me wired and are in everything you listed!. Yes, you can take ambien with the hydrocodone, I do!. Also, try to take the pain meds right before bed, you will sleep thru the jitters!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Vicodin should make you sleepy because it relaxes all your muscles, it sure knocks me out when I take it!.
I don't think it's ever safe to mix prescription medications!. My neighbor's son mixed some pain medication and he died from an accidental overdose!. My neighbor is a nice old lady and it hurts to see her still cry about it even though its been 7 years since his death!. So please don't play around with your meds, the outcome could be devastating on your family and friends!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

THey most absolutely can!. I am a chronic pain patient and was on Methadone!. I took Lorcets prior to that in the AM before I went to work to get that boost I neeeded to unload trucks!. I stopped taking it simply because I never slept!. A hard choice to make but sleep is important!. I do not see why Ambien would be an issue with Hydro!. Although Ambien is similiar to Benzo's it targets a different GABA part of the brain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Each person's body chemistry will react differently to medications!. Hydrocodone puts me to sleep, but on the other hand, Stadol hits me like a caffeine buzz!.
Other medications work very similar!. For example, most people take a Xanax and calm down and drift off to sleep!. If I take a Xanax--I feel like I have so much to do and I need to be doing it all at the same time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
