Update! The dentist gave me pain relief drugs so why do I still feel some pain?!

Question: Update! The dentist gave me pain relief drugs so why do I still feel some pain!?
I visited with the dentist and my mother was outraged that she had to pay $105 out of pocket for x-rays of my mouth (only the left side) and evaluation!. The dentist said my temporary bridge is the cause of why my teeth have severe cavities and the nerve is exposed which is why it hurts to chew! She suggest I get rid of the temporary altogether but I need it because my tooth missing at the bottom in the middle will show without it!

She said I'd need a root canal on the tooth and a filling or complete removal!. A complete removal would lead to needing a cemented bridge that is permanent, I will need this anyway to replace the temporary!. She explained since I am a young person a complete removal of teeth is not in my best interest however it was my choice what I wanted to do!.

The doctor gave me pain relievers to help me sleep at night and numb the pain in general!. When I took it, it made me feel a bit dizzy!. However, the pain is lessened but does not fully go away!. Why is that!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Take the meds as directed!. The pain will decrease after the medication has gotten into your system!. Taking more than prescribed at one time can cause some pretty adverse side affects, like vomiting, which I am sure would be terrible since your mouth is already in pain!. Trying laying on a heating pad!. Sorry I don't have an answer that would make the pain go away faster, but I thought I might let you know that doubling the dose may make your day a lot worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

basically the answer is in what you wrote, because there is so much work to be done on your mouth that of course its going to come back, just brush your gums good!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It has been my experience that if taking a pain med doesn't give enuf relief when taken every 6 hours then I half the dose (1/2 pill) and then take it every 3 hours!. My best advice is call the pharmacist where meds were gotten for directions of possible dose and time difference!. I graduated to be a medical assist!., but I have severe arthritis, and can't work so I have been on low dose narcotic for a few years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unless you were given a general anesthesia you will still feel some degree of pain!. Pain medicines are meant to take the edge off or make you sleep enough to make you comfortable!.

Ok other options are dental schools which can do the work at a fraction of the cost and may let you make payments!. You can't leave the teeth the way they are, something needs to get fixed!. Maybe a script for Percocet would be better, it may make you sick also but it is slightly better than Vicodin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
