Sore front thighs?!


Question: Sore front thighs!?
i was at trying out for soccer practise and we did laps for 15 mins and racing agianst ppl (n thats when i felt the soreness on my thighs)!.
i usually do lunges but i didnt do it tht day!.
the next day the back of my legs and thighs, and front thighs were hurting so much i could hardly walk right!.
a couple days later (now) its not as sore but I was running and it was so painful it felt like ripping n burning!. but it only happens when i run or squeeze my thighs!.
i know i should have stretched, thts why i started to but i didnt know this would happen!.
what can i do to get rid of the soreness n pain!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have access to a training room have the trainer or therapist give you a whirlpool treatment using cold water!. Whatever you do never use heat on the thighs!. Heat brings in blood that can pool and in the thigh this may turn to calcium and that is going to give nothing but problems!. Without specialize care place ice on the thigh for about fifteen minutes out of an hour!. Stretch your hips, thighs, and calves only after you are really warm and after the workout has concluded!. More injures occur when stretching cold muscles!. Ride a stationary bike with little or no resistance if available to warm up the muscles to stretch!. If a pool is available walk in chest high water!. Walk forward and back!. Take a cylinder or large diameter stick and roll it across the thigh and calf muscles!. This should help to deminish the soreness!. Remember that activities are very specific and doing lunges may help to strengthen the legs but it is not the same as doing sprints!. To gain strength in that you must do sprints!. Go slowly at first and add distance and speed as the legs allow!. Don't push then at this stage until there is no pain!. If the pain continues see a physical therapist if your state has direct access or see an orthopedist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You most likely pulled your quads!. Let them rest if possible and do stretches as often as possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
