Well, the withdraws can be crippling!. It all depends on what dose and how long you've been on them!. I was taking between 400 and 800 mg per day for a few years!. When I quit I could hardly get out of bed to go to the bathroom let alone go to work!. After 10 days I still felt pretty bad so I went on the methadone treatment program for about 2 years which was even a bigger mistake!. Methadone is the worst drug in the world to detox from (so I found out)!. Just hang in there and muscle it out and you should feel fine in a few days!. This is your life were talking about here, call in sick if you have to!.

One thing I can say is that the methadone program did help me to get over the cravings for Oxycontin!. It is a opiate analgesic which prevents other opiates from working!. I tried a few times to get that high back by using but they didn't work while on the methadone!. After a few tries I was like why bother and after 2 years of treatment I didn't have anymore cravings at all!.

Good luck, and you should be proud!.

I'm off everything now and feel like a totally different person!. In fact I hate that person I used to be!.

There is other medicines that you can take as well for withdraws such as syboxone, this is most commonly used in rehab centers but has poor results for long term treatment!. It has been my experience that long term heavy users like me never make it on the short term treatment programs!. If you are a heavy user like I was I would concider the methadone program before the syboxone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

One of the most important things to consider is whether or not you have uncontrolled pain along with the withdrawl symptoms!. If you do, I would suggest that you not go it alone!. I commend you efforts to stop using medication and I have seen first hand how difficult it can be!. If you are having pain, I suggest getting set up with a pain management specialist, and let them know that your ultimate goal is to be off the pain medication!. There are over the counter detox drinks that might help you get over the withdrawl symptoms sooner!. Also, meditation, relaxation techniques, and deep breathing exercises might help get you through some of the rougher patches!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

depending on how much you were taking its probably not the best idea to just stop completely!. That kinda thing can wreak havoc on your body!. Im glad you decided you didnt want to be on them anymore but you may have to slowly wean yourself from them, take less and less until youre used to that then work your way to none at all!. Otherwise there isnt really anything that will aleviate withdrawl symptoms(i went through this when I was prescribed vicodin after surgery But I didnt have the option to slowly wean myself the symptoms lasted about a week or so, the most overbearing of which only lasted a few days)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on how much you were taking per day!. But I was taking about 90mg a day and went cold turkey!. I was in bed for two or three days and felt bad for another three days!. Take some time off of work!. If you are taking the same amount or more because you will not be able to work!. For the pain I used bengay cream and a massager chair!.

Another option is the wean yourself off slowly, but that is very difficult to do yourself, unless you have someone else hold the medicene for you!. You will be very pleased when you finally get over the pain!.

Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First off- congratulations!. When you go to work, wear the most comfortable clothes you can get away with depending upon your job!. Drink tea all day long!. Always have a cup of tea in your hand!. Chamomile, green, black, there's a tea called - detox- whatever your preference!. Whether you are drinking it hot or cold- have tea!. Just flush your system out!. Also, take a multi-vitamin complete every day!. Stick this out and you can accomplish anything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Experience here!. You are probably just going to have to put up with the effects you are suffering from until they go away!. To try to replace the pills with something else is dangerous!. Leave them alone and do whatever you have to do physically to get over it!. It will take about three or four weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

go to a rehabilitation center!. im not saying you are addicted or anything, but it is better to take a little "personal time" from work and get stuff under control!. you can talk to your boss about it, and im sure you can get your vacation time or something!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh boy!.!.!. that's rough!. Shower, take caffeine, stay busy, and when you're not at work, rest! Talk to different people throughout the day and switch up your activities so you don't get stuck in one routine for too long!.
