Ice is used for the first 48 hours after injury to reduce swelling!. After 48 hours you would need to use warmth to increase the blood flow and decrease the chances of infection and increase the speed of healing!.

Adding ice now would only slow healing and increase the chances of infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
