There are a few things you can do!. First walk around with higher heals than normal but not high heel shoes!. The elevation eases the stress on the tendon!. The next thing to do is long sit or lie down and pull the front of the foot to your head!. Do this very gently and stop when you start to feel any discomfort!. Over time this will start farther into the movement!. When there is no pain you can gently start to increase the programto include strengthening!. Get some exercise bands or tubing for this!. Long sitting position and put the tubing or band around the bottom of your foot!. Push the toes of the foot into the tubing or band!. Do this ten to fifteen times making one set!. Start out with one set and gradually work up to three!. Once you are able to do that then start doing heel raises!. Hopefully your doctor will send you to a physical therapist who will work on this with you!. Rehab this as if you were an athlete and there should not be further problems!. To keep your fitness now walk in a pool with the water at chest height or ride a stationary bike with little or no tension on the flywheel!. When you ride use the heel to push off not the toes!. For pain use ice for fifteen minutes out of an hour!. By the way if your state has direct access see a physical therapist who will start you on a program immediately and this will greatly speed up the process!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
