Question: I fractured my finger!. will i get a hard or soft cast!?
Answers:
If the doctor wants you have to cast, it will probably be a hard cast!. I know that they can do finger splints, but that may be for certain types of fractures!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You'll probably get a metal brace type thing!. It's flat and has foam type stuff on the underside!. This is the side applied to the finger!. It sort of goes in a U-shape over the tip of the finger!. Something like this chick's: http://www!.flickr!.com/photos/virgilhetri!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends on the type of fracture but more likely than not you will get one of those foam padded metal hooks that get taped onto the finger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will either get a small splint which will be soft on the inside and hard on the out or they can bind your fingers together!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just use a popsicle stick with some medical tape on it, but I guess I am old fashion these days!.!.!.!.!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You won't get a cast!. They will bind your fingers!. My friend just had that happen 2 days ago!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
