As a kid, I dislocated my jaw (after a punch to the face) and I sometimes now have pain in my jaw when I chew!. If your jaw were still out of alignment, you wouldn't be able to chew or open and close your mouth!.

I would suggest staying away from crunchy/chewy foods for a while until your jaw starts to feel better!. A trip to the dentist or doctor wouldn't hurt if it's still bugging you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is allergy season!. I just had sinus problems that mimiced the worse tmj you can imagine!. Go to the doctor and see if it you have sinus problems!. I had the worse pain in my jaw!. Not in my nose!. My nose felt fine!. The sinus was causing pressure in my face giving me check and jaw pain and clicking in the jaw!.

The doctor gave me two allegra per day
2 alleve - 2 times a day
and prednisone for 7 days in inflamation!.

I went to the dentist and he said tmj was over diagnosed thing!.

He told me to take

Aleve with sinus medicine (over the counter - one pill that does both sinus and pain reduction)

I haved spoken to two other people who thought they were having tooth problems and it was sinus problems!.

Good Luck!

Also give you mouth a rest!. Eat some easy to eat food untill you mouth feels better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could have just pulled a jaw muscle!. If you had a dislocated jaw you would not be able to chew at all and you would be in horrible pain!. You may still want to see a doctor though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
