Question: HIP PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!! HELP Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
i am a dancer!. well the past 3 years i have had hip pain!. it is like where the ball and socket meet right next to my butt!. this is affecting my middle split!. i am very flexible and have my right and left splits all the way down!. and when i do my middle split it is about 1 foot and 1/2 from the ground!. when i do my middle split it sort of feels like i cant go down and further cause my hips just won't go down anymore!. sort of like they are crashing into each other!. so the other day i dance i noticed my hips pop when i do like everything!. grande jetees and fourth position grande plie especially!!! my dance teacher told me i probably have snapping hip syndrome!. so i was wondering does snapping hip syndrome lead to other hip problems!?!? what do you think is wrong with me!? its making me sad because i feel that if i don't get help soon i won't be able to dance ever again :( sometimes the pain is so bad i can barely walk and i break down crying!. In short, you need to get to your doctor and setup an orthopedic appointment!. They will do a simply range of motion check, and then get an MRI on you!. This will help them to determine what the core issue that is causing the problem!.
It should be noted that doctors have a really bad habit of instead of fixing the problem, they instead tell the person to stop doing it!. Meaning, you need to let your doctor know how important dancing is to you, and that fixing the issue is very important to you!.!.!.
In short, chances are there are a number of things that can be done to help you get back to your dancing self in no time!. Please just have patience, and make sure you force the issue to find out what the exact cause is!.!.
