Ever been on prozac??!
Question: Ever been on prozac!?!?
a friend of mine has been on prozac since last october (possibly early november)!. Now the dr!.'s are weening him off!. (went from 20mg, to 40mg, to 60mg, back down to 40, now down to 20, then coming off)!. He is having a very hard time with this!. Won't tell me if it's depression coming back, or what is wrong, but basically won't talk to me a whole lot about it, except will say "it's really hard coming off of this"!.!.!.anyone been through this!?!? or have similar experience!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I hated prozac!. Too many side effects including suicidal thoughts!. I had to take myself off it myself because the doctors didn't believe me!. I took it for anxiety not for depression!. It made me feel deep into a trance and I wasn't myself!. I tend to be somewhat hyper and been known as "peppy" but prozac made me groggy and sleepy!. I hated it!.

My belief is that there are no magic pills - mental illness requires medication (to balance the brain's chemistry) and therapy - to understand the root of the mental health issue(s)!. One without the other is only half the treatment!.
Years ago I was on Prozac along with therapy!. After six months, I decided I didn't want to become dependent, so I stopped both and I've been fine ever since because I learned how to deal with - and more importantly, control - my depression!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

my sister was on it!. she read the side effects (she thinks she is fat and was gonna get fatter on the pill) so she just all the sudden quit taking it and she hasnt had any more problems actually she is better now that she is off of it!Www@Answer-Health@Com
It can make you have dizzy spells, mood swings, it's different for everyone, but it's never easy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
