Are you very slim!? Veins tend to stick out on thin people and become more prominent as we get older!. In children there is usually a thick layer of tissue (mainly fat) under the skin and it's often difficult to see any veins at all!. This layer tends to be thicker in females than in males, and in both sexes it decreases with age!.

In addition our skin becomes thinner as we get older which also makes the veins more visible!. If you are fit and well it is very unlikely that your prominent veins are anything to worry about!.

Guitar playing will not cause prominent veins!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't see what playing the guitar would have to do with it!.

I mean, look at Cheryl Crowe's hands!. Or Bonnie Raitt's hands!. They don't have particulary prominent veins!?

I think that the guitar playing has just made you more aware of your hands, that's all!.

ps If you have never heard of Bonnie Raitt you should check her out because she is an excellent role model for young lady guitarists!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is possible as this is a constant pressure on your hands!. prominent veins are also common if people are to thin & then again it could just be the way god made you, if it is worrying you as your gp!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have the same aswell!. Are you slim!? I don't think playing guitar would have anything to do with it we're just unlucky!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
