Horrible random nose bleeds!?!
Question: Horrible random nose bleeds!!?
once in a while, and seemingly unprompted!.!.!. i get these terrible nose bleeds!. and when i say terrible, i mean like ALOT of blood!.
to give an idea: I was in a hotel room and was watching TV!. i had not had a nose bleed in a very long time, when all the sudden i start going like a faucet!.!.!. i grabbed a piece of tissue and SATURATED it in 10 seconds!. i grabbed the first thing i could find, a styrofoam dixie cup!.!.!. i FILLED IT TO THE TOP!
it stopped eventually but to my horror i pulled out a very large, thick mucasy glob that was red all through!.!.!.
by the end of it i had lost alot of blood and was feeling quite dizzy!. i went to sleep and felt fine in the morning!.
they still happen, but rarely, and i have never pulled anything else out!. but it had me worried and the bleeding is a damned nusance in public

I think its time to stop the do it yourself health care and see a doctor and soon! It could be any number of things and only a doctor has the ability to diagnose it properly and possibly treat the underlying cause if there is one!.
In my case, I suffered from nosebleeds like that for many years, bad enough that I would have to go to the ER and have the vein in the nose cauterized to stop the bleeding (don't try this yourself! LOL) and at times needed IV blood transfusions from loss of blood!. I too had and still haven't put anything up my nose!.
For me it turned out that I had high blood pressure and didn't know it!. Once they got the BP under control the nose bleeds stopped completely!.
Untreated high blood pressure is very dangerous as it can lead to everything from strokes to kidney failure!. My 37 year old brother was just diagnosed with kidney failure due to his uncontrolled blood pressure; he had the medications, just didn't bother to take them!!!!
Please get yourself to a doctor!. It is very important to find out what is causing this as it can lead to much more serious health problems in the future; hence my brother!.

Your inability to clot may be a sign of hemophilia or microcytic anemia!. I also suffer from frequent nosebleeds, but never in the volumes you seem to!.
A regular sized dixie cup holds 5 oz of liquid!. That seems to me like a ridiculous amount of blood to lose from a nosebleed!. I would suggest seeing a doctor about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Should have gone to the ER, Pronto! The very large glob was blood clot, which didn't hold back the blood flow!.!. Have a prothrombin (protime) blood draw, to check on your clotting factors!. Also have your Blood pressure checked periodically Did you tell your Dr of this event!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
