Pins and needles when I touch my hands- this happens every time I fall asleep an!

Question: Pins and needles when I touch my hands- this happens every time I fall asleep and wakes me up!.!?
Every time I sleep, I wake up with a feeling of pins and needles in my hands if if I touch them!.

Last week, I also found that my right leg would go numb and dead for a couple of nights when lying down, but have not had this any other time!.

I'm having a nerve test soon, but would really like any other insight at the moment!.

I'm on Yahoo Answers now because I've just woken up yet again with this feeling and it's quite scary because the sensation reminds me of the feeling I had when I had a panic attack a few years ago, although I know it's not a panic attack because I'm not hyperventilating or anything!.

Also, might I add that if I sit down with my legs out straight, I always get pins and needles in one leg!. I don't know if this is normal or if it could be related!.

Thank you for your answers!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can simply have a pinched nerve somewhere along your spine!. I sometimes have the same thing happen and i dont need to be in a weird position, but it doesnt sound like fibromyalgia or anything since most ppl complain of it being sharp pains and sore in muscles!. It sounds a lot like a nerve compression issue!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

My neighbor has RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome)!. It has a number of effects on your body including the feeling of pins and needles and it can make your arms and legs fall asleep!.

Talk to your doctor about different treatments!. My neighbor takes a pill and she says that her RLS dosn't bother her half as much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like poor circulation and you will need blood thinners and you might try aspirin to start now! I hope your not allergic to aspirin!? It has to be real aspirin and not ibuprofen!Www@Answer-Health@Com

try takeing some ginko biloba or an asperin lie an hr before bedWww@Answer-Health@Com

Most of the time when this happens it's because you are sleeping on the affected limb - pinching your nerves as you put your body weight on your arm or leg!.

This is very, very, very common!.

Once you simply change position in bed, everything goes back to normal!.

Also, this is a common sympton of Diabetes, you might want to look that up online, check other symptoms, check your fasting glucose level with a simple blood test!.

Yes, I agree RLS should be ruled out too!. Plus you might have Conversion Disorder - meaning you're mentally ill (no joke, look it up)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
