I got my catalige on top of my ear peirced in December of last year and if i take it out and clean it when i put it back in it hurts still as if it was just periced some times it even bleeds a little! Is this normal and if so how long will it do this!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.i guess i figure the pain should be gone by now!Www@Answer-Health@Com

People heal at different rates, this doesn't seem unreasonable for a cartilage piercing!. It may look healed from the outside but remember, the piercing heals from the outside moving inward!. I was always told not to remove the jewelry until healing was complete!. You could be prolonging healing by removing the jewelry!.

Cartilage piercings take longer to heal than a regular ear lobe piercing!. Did you wait 8 to 12 weeks before you started taking the earring out to clean it!?
What are you using to clean it!? Never use alcohol or peroxide; they don't help healing, they actually prevent healing!. Use sea salt dissolved in water instead!.
If that doesn't help, you might have an infection and need to go to the dr!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Did you get it done with a gun!? If so the cartilage is probably shattered and the piercing needs to come out!. If not then that is still not normal and still needs to come out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
