What are all the injection's that the can put directly in ur knees for carti!
Question: What are all the injection's that the can put directly in ur knees for cartilage PAIN!?!?
Answers:
It really depends on what the problem is with the knee!. Whether it is an injury or arthritis related!. If it is mild osteoarthritis, a rheumatologist may first want to try a cortisone shot!.
If it is moderate to severe they may want to use Synvisc which is: "a treatment option called a viscosupplement!. It replaces damaged synovial fluid with a substance similar to that found in healthy joints of 18- to 27-year-olds!."
"SYNVISC is injected directly into the knee joint over the course of 3 doctor visits, 1 week apart!. For maximum relief, you must receive all 3 injections!."
Personally I have had cortisone shots and the Synvisc and the Synvisc has been far superior!. In fact I haven't had problems in the knee that I had the shots in in about 5 years!
I hope this helps!
