How long can you go without sleep before you get permanet brain dammage?!


Question: How long can you go without sleep before you get permanet brain dammage!?
I got around 4 hours of sleep last night!. I then went to work and came home and took a 2 hour nap!. I am going to work this morning with no sleep!. I have read that getting no sleep can eventually cause permanent brain damage!!?!? Should I be worried about this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

you can actually go several weeks without sleep before PERMANENT brain damage!. two days of no sleep is just going to make you feel a little fuzzy until you get a real night's sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That awnser depends on the individual!. People worry about sleep so much that it effects them a lot!. First of all, everybody is different when it comes to sleep!. Meaning some people get 6 hours while others get 10 hours, it's normal and theres nothing wrong with it!.!.!.and you will NOT get any "Brain damage"!. Just sleep as much as you can and as much as you want!. Worrying will only make your (Situation!?) worse, it's one of the main reasons why Americans are having problems sleeping!.

It all goes back to when you were a kid!. You try to sleep but you're so excited/anxious about the next morning, but you know for a fact that you HAVE to sleep because you have to get up in the morning!.!.!.so then comes the worry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can't get permanent brain damage from depriving yourself from sleep!. Fact is, eventually you wont be able to help yourself and you will probably colapse from exhaustion!. Take the sleep and call in sick to work!. People that are drowsy in the workplace are as irresponsible as the ones that drink or do drugs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not yet!. I've stayed awake for six days straight with no naps at all before I was put on medication for chronic insomnia and sever PTSD!. I wouldn't worry about brain damage if I were you- you haven't lost enough sleep to worry about it!. Plus, by worrying about getting brain damage, you are keeping yourself awake when you should be asleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will probably physically pass out first!. Or get to the point were you lost almost all of your focus I mean all!

Were your so tired that you are almost falling asleep walking!.

If you stay awake it after that your looking for trouble!. But long term that much sleep is not health and stresses your body!. Get 6 hours minimum on average if you can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i slept NOT MORE THAN a total of 6 hours for 5 days straight when i was involved in a family matter!.

my brain's still functioning okay,
so i guess, i could still push myself further!.
but by the end of 5th day, i would just doze off even while i was in the midst of a conversation or when i have a chance to shut my eyes, i would just fall asleep then and there!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i wouldnt worry because ive been getting about 2 hours of sleep a night for two years and im one of the smartest kids in the classWww@Answer-Health@Com
