Is this bursitis hip pain or something else?!

Question: Is this bursitis hip pain or something else!?
Ok, I have had an MRI done on my hip and it said I have slight bursitis in my right hip!. I have gone to therapy, had injections, blood test, I do not have arthritis but I continue to have pain!. The pain is worse at night and it does not matter which way I lay down, in fact there is no comfortable side!. My doctor has given me sleeping pills, and pain med, still does not help!. It also hurts to walk!. The top of my right femur hurts all the time as well, it has now been going on for 2yrs off and on!. However the past 2mos it has not stopped!. The MRI was done about 8mos ago and I have not done any excerise!. My doctor ordered a bone scan, will I be wasting my time and money on this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Get the bone scan for it may show something that was not found on the MRI!. Also ask for another referral to a physical therapist!. Have them look at your feet and legs to see if there is any leg length discrepitancy or unusual foot abnormalities!. Then take a look at the opposite side for any muscular irregularities!. The body doesn't just send off pain patterns for nothing!. There has to be a reason for this complaint!. As for pain control use ice for fifteen to twenty minutes out of an hour!. If you get a referral to therapy ask them to perform an ice massage at the end of the session and see how much relief that gives you!. They give very strong relief!. Also try a viscoelastic cover for your mattress!. This will take up much of the pressure on the hip!. Lastly an exercise program should be initiated under the care of a therapist!. I would give you exercises but since I cannot see the results of such a program it would be better to be with someone directly there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
