Its just like taking a nap!. I havent had major surgery but did have my wisdom teeth taken out which is considered oral surgery!.
when they injected the anestesia they told me I would feel a little itchy!. It was so weird! Within a second my whole body was all tingly with a slight ichyness, even my bum! haha
then in about 10 seconds (if even that long) I was gone!.
Drousy, nice, nappy time!. lol

waking up was the same, things were blurry and unfocused as if i had been woken up from a deep sleep!. But unlike waking up without meds in your system focusing my eyes took a little longer!. The nurse looked like an alien was 4 eyes!.

Don't fret, you'll be fine!. And your recovery will be just as good, just listen to your body If you feel you can start walking, go for it! If it doesnt feel right, rest some more!.

My grandma had hip surgery and the next day she was already up and about with a walker!. (most dont that fast) then when she was at the grocery store she found out she didnt need the walker anymore!. How so!? She forgot about it and had walked away!. lol
Your body knows what it has to do, when its ready for it!.

good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had surgery on my foot twice!. Disregard what the last guy said about not being fully under the affect of the anesthesia!. That really wasn't very nice!. Surgery itself is a breeze!. You go to sleep, and that's that!. You wake up and go home with pain medication, and instructions on how to care for your ankle post op!. The most difficult part of surgery on an extremity is not being able to "just get up and walk"!. I'm not very patient!.!.!.and I found that part to be the most difficult!. Best of luck to you, don't be scared, you'll be fine!!!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you ever seen the movie AWAKE!? Some people only get into that twilight phase!. They can still hear and feel all that's taking place around them!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It hurts a bit after the cast has been applied!. no worries but you will be limping for a week or two!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
