Answers:
Never use a tourniquet, unless the bleeding is so bad that the person could bleed to death before getting to the hospital!. IF you do have to use a tourniquet, like if you were a very long ways from a hospital then make sure that you loosen the tourniquet every few minutes to prevent the extremity from dieing from lack of oxygen!.
Apply direct pressure with the towel to control bleeding until you can reach a hospital!. IF you can't sit there and hold direct pressure on the wound, you can make a pressure bandage by putting something bulky (like the towel) over the wound and then tying some gauze around it, but not tight enough to cut off circulation!. You will want to tie it just tight enough to stop the bleeding!.

if you've been stabbed or the wound is a punchture, tie the tube like a tunique about 2 to 3 inches above the wound!. Then use the towl and apply pressure!. If at all possible do not remove what caused the wound!. and Most importantly, GO TO THE HOSPITAL!!!
If the wound is just a cut, even if it's a deep cut, just apply pressure!. If it's so deep you think you need the rubber tube, you should prolly go to the hospital!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

any time you use something like a rubber tube to stop bleeding you are doing so with the assumption that the limb its used on will be lost!. In 34 years on an ambulance I never needed to use one!.
first think is direct pressure on the would and if not counter indicated with something like a fracture elevate the arm/leg and third if that do sent stop the bleeding use a pressure point to slow the flow of blood!.
clotting if the wound isn't disturbed will take about 10 minutes!. In general bleeding is fairly easy to stop with only a couple of exceptions or if its internalWww@Answer-Health@Com
