If you have just been in an accident then the answer is ice!. Use ice on the neck for fifteen to twenty minutes out of an hour!. Do not put it on the front or sides of the neck for there are certain nerves that could be injured by this!. Go to your family doctor and get a referral to a physical therapist!. The reason for this is that when the accident occurred the muscles of the neck were not prepared for the forces that took place!. Some of them were partially torn and others just strained!. At your age you will get over it quickly but the effects will still be there long after you forget about it!. To avoid this one must regain all of the mobility of the neck and upper back plus build up the strength of those areas!. There are multiple ways to reduce the pain while in an office but to correct the imbalances of the area one must be with someone that knows what they are doing!. Meanwhile use the ice until there is no longer any pain in the neck!. Slowly work on range of motion by turning the neck in a painfree pattern from side to side and bringing the chin to the chest!. Avoid doing any movements where the head is brought backwards until you are seen by someone!. Watch your posture and make sure that you are sitting and standing correctly!. Do not force any movements that generate pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to go to your doctors and tell your mum about your neck!.

No matter how slow the car is going you can still receive whiplash and it can be very painful!.

I am presuming your mum is making a claim against the other driver so make sure you let her know about it!.

Hope you get better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes it probably is, just means that your neck is strained a bit, if it wasnt a bit accident it will probably go away by itself, just take pain killers if its sore, if it was a bad accident your probably better of going to your doc or casualty for a check upWww@Answer-Health@Com
