From your parents' height, and you being female, your predicted height would be 5'6" give or take an inch!.
Thyroid hormone replacement can cause some catch up growth, but it depends on your bone age (basically, how developed your skeleton is)!. Getting taller depends on growth plates at the ends of your bones, which allows them to get longer!. Growth plates close up as you get older, so that you stop growing!.
At 17, most people's growth plates have closed!. but having hypothyroidism can delay their closure!. If you had an x-ray of your hand and wrist evaluated for bone age, then you would know the chances of growing more!. If your bone age says 17 years, probably not much more growth will happen!. If your bone age says 13 years, there's definitely still a chance!. This is a simple test your doctor can order, and the best predictor for you of how much more growth to expect!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
