The cramping has nothing to do with stretching!. Your body is trying to repair the muscle, tendons, ligaments that were used and damaged while you were stressing them!. Do you use your right leg more!? Is it your power leg!? If it is getting use more, then it needs more nutrition than your other leg!. Are you giving yourself enough time for recovery!? Recovery is key!. It consists of time and nutrition!. The more nutrition you give the body, the less time it will need to recover!.
First, make sure you are getting enough complete protein in your diet-fish, chicken, turkey!.
Second, take a multi-mineral-you need extra calcium, magnesium, potassium, and other minerals!.
Third, make sure you are getting enough water with electrolytes!. You should be drinking a gallon a day!. The water helps the body flush out damaged cells and other by products from cellular respiration!. Water also helps bring in the nutrients that your muscles need for repair!.
This is a start, but should help ease your cramps!. The minerals and electrolytes will help almost instantly-within a 15 minutes!.
Good luck to you!. If I can be of assistance please let me know!.

when i was pregnant, i had lots of those cramps too!. my doctor said i need to take in more calcium!. i don't know why bec!. the hurting is not in the bones but it worked!
you also have to put your feet a little higher, try pillows under your legs!. your tired legs are telling you they are overused!
or don't bathe until after at least an hour after strenuous activity!. give your muscles time to rest!.
and yes, doo some stretching too!.
and by the way, when you're having it, point your toes to your head it will make the pain go away in an instant!. the more you let the pain you allow yourself to have, the longer you would still feel it during the day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

bananas!!! potassium!!! lol!. for a short term fix jump up as quick as u can and even though it hurts slowly stretch it out and straighten ur leg!. this happens to me in the middle of the night all the time and when ur in the middle of deep sleep its ridiculously painful and you have no idea wut is going on!. whenever it happens to me i jump out of bed on impulse and just keep my leg straight so that the muscle doesnt tighten up and itll relax itself in a minute!. for long term like i said get some potassium like in bananas!. other things that could cause cramps are lack of water and a lack of stretching so get to it =)
