Help! Sharp pains when breathing..very worried.?!
Question: Help! Sharp pains when breathing!.!.very worried!.!?
Im 17, fairly healthy, thin and quite small!.
However back in February while doing a show i experianced a sharp pain in my chest while breathing in!. I was pulled out for a bit, and eventually re-joined when i felt ok!.
Since then i have not had this sharp pain untill now!.
It started yesterday, while doing my course work!. While i breathed in a sharp pain would occur on my left shoulder on my back!. It gets worse if i breathe deeply!. The pain was so bad last night i couldnt get to sleep!.
I thought i had pulled a muscle but my shoulder does not hurt when i move it!. However if i try to lie down, the pain is unbearable!.
Its hurting now as i type this!.
Im very worried on what it could be, im proberbly talking about nothing but i would like to know whats going on!. My mum thinks i have just pulled a muscle!.

well first off I would tell your mom that she's worng in a nice way, and then ask her to get it x-rayed!. Because if you wait too long it could be alot worse than it is right now!. a bone could be damadged, or your lungs could be pessing up against your rib cage when you lay down, I'd go to the doctor and request to be x-rayed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I hope it's nothing serious, i have a similar thing, except mines on my left side on the front lower ribs, i cant lie on it without discomfort, i have pains breathing occasionally, and when i get hugs, around the stomach, its quite painful, im kinda scared to go to the doctors though!
im 19 almost, an shouldnt have things like this to worry about really!. good luck!.

I get the same thing!. I have no idea what it is but I've been trying to google it and I found nothing!. Go to the doctor and explain to them the situation!. I am worried as well this could be signs of heart probelms or something!. Go to the doctor and find out!.

i would talk to the doctor, just to be on the safe side, you are old enough to visit the doctor without your parents permission if you want to go alone, but i would get it checked just for peace of mindWww@Answer-Health@Com
See your docter!. It could be serious!. I have issues like that and i know it is related the artories!. When you see docter, make sure you ention pain in left shoulder!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Have you considered seeing a chiropractor!? You could have a rib or some vertebrae out!. That can make it painful to breathe or difficult to sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
