Question: I just cut my finger and I can see the bone!?
I was trying to open a can with a cheap pocket knife, and it folded down on me and cut my pinky finger just below the middle knuckle!. I can still bend my finger, but when I do I see a little bit of bone come down!. The pain's not bad at all, probably because it was a very clean cut!. I'm applying pressure, and it's almost stopped bleeding, but my girlfriend took my car so I'm home alone with no way to get to the doctor!.
Everything else appears to be normal!. The bones are still in place and everythig, I just have a really deep cut!.
So my question is!.!.!. Do I need to go to the doctor for this, or can I treat it myself!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah you shud!.!. cause the same thing happen to me to but it was my index finger and it didn't hurt one bit i mean forrealz!.!. but i didn't go to the doctors i just had my mom help me put medication on it and everything for a whole month but my now my finger look deformed lol but yeah again go to the doctors and have them check it out!.!. plus they'll give you something for your finger so it'll stay straightWww@Answer-Health@Com
Go to the ER as soon as possible to get it taken care of!. You probably need stitches!. You might get a bad infection or even lose the finger if you don't get it taken care of!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Open to the bone is the important part and you need to see a doctor cause if you get any infection in there you are at risk of limb loss ~ serious businessWww@Answer-Health@Com

Having said that I did once cut my thumb that badly and I was alone with no means of getting to the hospital!. I bandaged my thumb very firmly wuth sticky tape until the blood stopped seeping through and left it for 2 days!. When I removed the tape there was a sickening smell of rotting blood but fortunately the wound was clean and starting to heal!. I rebandaged it with regular bandage so that I could not bend it and reopen the cut and it healed ok!.
