Answers:
You do not want to take additional tylenol, this would probably place you at a level which over time could cause damage to your liver!.

It is common for the body to adapt to narcotics in time, and require more narcotic!. However, the fact that you have escalated from the 7!.5 to the 10 and now require more in a period of 2 months is faster than would be expected!.

The other question is if your injury was 2 months ago are you improving or are you waitng for further treatment!?

If wating for further treatment you do not want to increase your medication too high, because if you needed surgery it would be difficult to manage your post surgical pain if your body was accustomed to high levels of narcotics!.

Discuss the issue with your physician!. Do not ask for more pain medication, ask when the condition will improve!. If the condition is permanent, you need to have your pain managed by a chronic pain specialist who has methods in addition to short acting narcotics to control pain!.

I don't think you are looking for recreation!. But you need realistic answers so you can understand what your options are!.

Stronger opiates such as oxycodone may sound great when you are in pain, but they will only increase the physiologic depende3nce and probability of psychological addiction!.

I hope you find help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the Vicodin isn't working, talk to your doctor about switching to something else!. Just because a drug is widely used, and Vicodin is widely prescribed, doesn't mean that it's going to work the same for everyone!. You obviously have a legitimate ongoing problem here and if the Vicodin isn't working, then you need something else, probably something stronger, such as Oxycodone!. Meanwhile, try not to double up on the 10's, because there is more Tylenol in them as well as more hydrocodone!. The Tylenol is what you don't want to be taking too much of because of the potential for liver damage!. You may want to try taking a half-pill extra instead of just one pill!. Or, if the script says to take it every 4 to 6 hours, take it every 4 hours rather than waiting 6 hours!. Call your doctor first thing on Monday and tell him what's been going on and that you think you need to be switched to something different!. Sorry I can't help you more until then!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
