How do I get my grandpa to do physical therapy for his knees?!
Question: How do I get my grandpa to do physical therapy for his knees!?
My grandfather has had his knees replaced and only did physical therapy for a little while, then abandoned it!. He is 80 yrs old and shuffles around!. I was wondering if it would be beneficial to get him back into physical therapy, and if there were any exercise that he could do on his own!. Any advice is greatly appreciated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only thing you can do is ask him to do it and offer words of encouragement and sincere smiles!. If he doesn't want to do it, you can't force him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Perhaps he doesn't feel like going to physical therapy but you might ask him if medicare pays for in home therapy (it might at his age) if he would do it then!. If he says yes, call his doctor and he should know if he prescribes home therapy if medicare will pay!. They did for my mom after her stroke!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
