Yes, that would be fine, 3 days after stitches you are pretty much in the clear as far as getting them wet and washing them goes!. I would make sure to keep the stitches bandaged if you're going to be walking around, though, just to make sure they don't get caught on anything!. As far as messing up your stitches goes, there could be a few things that would happen: you could rip them apart, which would re-open the wound and be quite painful, and it would bleed as well (this is why you don't want to get them caught on anything, or let them get hit by anything)!. Another thing that could happen is too much dirt and bacteria could get into the wound and it could get infected, even more swollen, and start draining unpleasant liquids; this is why you want to keep them clean!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You should keep the incision dry and clean!. Try applying ice to the abdomen instead of a wet wash cloth!. If you opened your stitches up, your wound would be open and not stitched closed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Don't use a wet wash cloth!.!.!.!.germs!. Use an ice pack with something over it so it is not directly on incision!. Most doctors use glue to close, if it is done laposcopbic, sorry for spelling!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
