Sprained ankle!?!


Question: Sprained ankle!!?
i sprained my ankle ankle and i got it x-rayed and there was nothing broke thankfully but 10 days on its still sore when i walk and im limping, is this normal!?!? should i be resting it!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes, it's normal!. I sprained mine more than 2 months ago and it's still sore!. Will be for at least another month too!.

Best is to keep off it as much as possible, but for many of us that's just not possible!.

I knew that when it happened, it was just a dopey thing where my foot got caught in something as I was turning around!. My body turned but my foot didn't - I could almost hear the crunch as I tumbled to the ground!.

Had it checked like you did, and nothing broken either, but boy oh boy did it swell up like a balloon!. I knew then it would take months to heal!. (not the first time this has happened to me, but it's been years and years since!.!.!.)

Saddest for me is having to miss riding my motorcycle all this time!. Can't risk putting all my weight on my injured ankle, and it not being able to handle it, and going down possibly breaking the ankle AND damaging the bike!. But if I keep healing, I'll still be able to ride this summer!. It stinks having to miss spring riding!. It's some of the best riding weather there is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends, my mate broke his leg and played football with it for 3 days before he went to hospital!. If you want to get back playing than just play on it (this is what I do)and the pain will go away as you get used to the movement, a lot of health conscious tarts will tell you this is incredibly bad and your legs will fall off and you will burn in hell!. They wont actually say that, there is truth in what they say but if you watch a game of 50's football you will see the most ridiculous tackles and players just run it off!. So really its who ever you choose to listen to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is normal for an ankle sprain!. Try and stay off it as much as possible!. Also ice as much as possible!.

The best thing for it is get a bucket of water & ice!. Put you foot/ankle in there for about 20mins!. While in it write the ABC's with your foot!. This strengthens your ankle without a lot of pressure!. Do this at least 2 times a day!. If you could do it more, the healing process will take less time!.

Very normal!. You have to stay off of it as much as possible!. No sports or running, jogging, treadmill or any exertion!. If you do it will stay sore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
