Can you legally sneak out of a Hospital?!

Question: Can you legally sneak out of a Hospital!?
(TRUE STORY) This may seem farfetched but I was involved in a car accident a month ago!. And was taken via ambulance to the hospital!. My face an hand were cut up, and the doctor wanted to check me for a spinal cord injury!. I tried to ask him if I could leave but he wouldn
Answers:
Yes, you can deny medical help, and you can walk out any time you want to, but know that it's AMA, against medical advice!.

So should you have a problem farther down the line, that same hospital can refuse to see you because you left last time AMA!.

Is there any other reason you left AMA besides being pissed off at the doc!? I know sometimes we feel they are running unneccessary test, and sometimes they are!.

But a better way to handle it would have been to just go up to the nurses station and tell them you could not get the doc to listen to you and that you would like to be released!.

If they drew blood from you, if you were driving, and anything comes back that shouldn't, just know that when you go back to get that wallet, there could be a law enforcement officer waiting for you!.

Not that I am insinuating anything, but with our country's no tolerance policies in full swing, they don't take any chances!.

I hope you don't have any problems in the future by leaving AMA, and good luck, Jackie bWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, you have the legal right to refuse medical treatment unless court ordered or not of your right mind!. But, if you do, your out of luck if something goes wrong and you need help with medical bills, etc!. from the insurance company!. And by sneaking out, you will be responsible for your medical bills, you should have signed a release form!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Of course you can leave, you cannot be held there against your will!. But since they have your wallet and therefore your name and address, don't try to sue them when you have a heart attack opening up the emergency room bill that you (not your insurance) are 100% liable for!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you have the right to refuse any all treatment and u can leave whenever u want unless u have been ordered by a court to undergo psychiatic treatment which clearly does not apply here they try and get u to sign a form that says u left aganst medical advice so u cant sue them not sure if u have to sign that but u dont have to stayWww@Answer-Health@Com

You can do it legal way but make sure you're totally at good condition!. It about medical procedure since if something happen after you out from hospital without their concern im surely they will face a big problem with hospital legal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's legal to leave a hospital Against Medical Advice (AMA)!.!.!.but you're still responsible for your medical bills!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you can prove you are of sound mind, and aren't crazy or temporary insane, then yes!. You can refuse medical attention; but you will likely have to fill out some release forms completely freeing the hospital of any wrongdoing or responsibility in the case that if you wind up hemmoraghing and bleeding to death for some reason or another, nobody can blame/sue the hospital because it was your fault you refused the attention, and your decision!.

But remember, if any complications happen afterwards due to the injuries you got, you have no recourse but to kick yourself very hard!. Otherwise, it's not really illegal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
