Why is it that when we "hit" the water, we experience pain?!
Question: Why is it that when we "hit" the water, we experience pain!?

It's the viscosity of water; at low speeds you have some resistance!. Compare that with the air: when you're standing in a room, and swinging your arm/hand it's easier than doing the same out of a car moving at high speeds!. The resistance (air molecules banging against you) is higher!.
Water has way more molecules than air (it's denser), and so the higher your speed (a fall from a 3 meter board is like a 35miles/hour speed fall) feels 'different' (but is yet not as harsh as jumping on an even denser substance like say concrete!.!.!.!. the smaller the area of impact, the less pain!.!.!. (that is why jumping from 10 m is possible)
If you'd jump from a much larger height or out of a fast moving boat, it would be like jumping or falling onto concrete (that is why people die when they jump/fall from high speed boats bridges etc!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I didn't know water could be so hard until I went tubbing for the first time a few years ago!.

Skin is very tender and sensitive, and is your body's largest organ!. A solid strike on any surface would cause an immediate message to be sent to your brain!. Now that's what i call impact!Www@Answer-Health@Com
