Question: I accidently burned my wrist with my straightner!?
i bubbled up immidietly!.!.how do i keep it from leaving a permenent scar!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

My daughter did this reaching across her sister and got it on the inside of her elbow!. It was very painful!. It measured about 3 x 5 inches so it was big and on the crease really hurt!.
I got the burn pads at Walgreens (they have them at drugstores - the grocery store did not have them)!. They are like a gel!. You put them on and they stick then put on gauze pads and seal around edges with tape!. We kept these on until it stopped hurting and bubbling!. DO NOT pick the bubbled skin!.
We put on the gel pads and they just get used up and dissolve!. They seem to keep the burn moist so it doesnt dry up and crack!. She has a very very light scar on her arm!. I expected it to be very noticeable but if you dont know about the burn you could not tell!.
Her skin tans easily and it did not make a difference!.
I think the gel pads made the difference!.
I picked up hot cookie sheets and burned my fingers and hand!. I used the pad and they helped the pain and the healing!. No noticeable scar!. Burned the back of my hand on a trip and didnt get the gel pads, scar and it didnt heal evenly!.

Run the burn under cold water for at least 15 minutes!. DO NOT burst any blisters!. Keep the area dry and clean, don't apply any creams or lotions!. Only cover with a dressing if the blisters burst to stop infection!. If there are any white areas on the burn that could be an indication of a deeper burn and will need medical attention!.
