ha ha!

im going to put icy hot on my shoulder later!.!.!. on second thought ill do it now! :) lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well, Have you been doing any excercize!?!?!?!?
If not, it is not advisable to put on a strap because it weakens your arm and it is more likely to get the pain again!.

Whenever I get a pain I always go to the pharmacy and get some cream to put on my sore muscles!.

Sometime pains can be caused from stressed

Maybe their is a "knot" in your muscle and all you need is a deep massarge (if that is how you spell it, lol)Www@Answer-Health@Com

take ibeprofen or advil (or any painkiller for that matter) and lie down

immobilizing the shoulder will do nothing for muscle pain

get a pressure massage
it will hurt, but it will help it loosen up and then ice it

try using a heating pad

if that doesn't work, go see a doctor and ask for helpWww@Answer-Health@Com

Try stretching it- after taking a hot bath or using a heating pad!. Also take Tylenol or somthing like that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

in a young person, take ibuprofen and apply local heat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take medicane and dont force it and relax, okWww@Answer-Health@Com

i have the same problem tooWww@Answer-Health@Com

There is not quite enough information in this but there is one key!. The neck is more than likely the problem not the shoulder!. Hurting your shoulder should not be giving problems in turning your neck!. The area that controls the shoulder is C5-6 and that could be the problem!. This could just indeed be the way you slept and it will spontaneously resolve!. In the meantime use ice for fifteen to twenty minutes out of an hour on both places!. With the neck do not place the ice on the sides or front of the neck as there are nerves there that you don't want to injure!. Tonight try to sleep with a soft cervical collar on!. You can get this in a local pharmacy or medical supply house!. If there is none around or you cannot afford one then do this!. Take a hand towel or other smaller size towel and fold it into thirds lengthwise!. Wrap is snuggly but not tightly around your neck, it should feel supportive but not feel as if it is strangling you!. Fasten it with tape or a safety pin!. This should stabilize your neck and if that is the cause then in the morning the shoulder will feel better than the neck!. Keep using ice until there is no more pain!. To keep the neck and shoulder loose try to move the neck by turning it away from the pain!. Never attempt to move into an area of pain!. With the shoulder move it around and try to walk your fingers up the wall as far as they will go!. If you can place the arm behind your back for a stretch!. If the left side of your neck is bothering you and it is the same shoulder then very gently place your left arm behind your back, again only if your are able to do so pain free!. With the arm behind your back grasp it with the right hand and hold it!. Try to turn the head to the right!. If there is pain stop and forget about that move until it can be done pain free!. Try the same maneuver but this time tilt the head to the right!. If there is pain stay short of it but if it bothers you immediately stop the movement until it can be done pain free!. Only sleep on one pillow as sleeping on more than one stretches the neck and could cause more problems!. If there is no improvement or if there is pain that goes down the arm into the hand see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
