They said my valpuric acid test came back and it was really really low and said that I am not taking it and why not!. I told them I am once a day in the morning!. I just don't take it 2 times - only when I really need it - which is when I wake up!. I am taking it for my headaches!. Why would it not show on my blood test - the valpuric acid blood test!?!?!?!? Answers:
Your doctor had set the parameters of the blood work per your dosage info!. When they say it is low that just means it isn't at the level it should be, if you were taking your meds correctly or as prescribed!. I would call the on-call doctor if you are upset & discuss situation with him!.

Depakote does carry a ton of warnings & that is why they are so careful in testing!. Yes, it can cause liver failure if the levels are high!.!.!.!.so be very careful!. If you are just taking it for migraines, you might ask & see if they could put you on something with a lower incidence of serious side effects!.

Don't worry, just explain that the level was low because of your taking just the 1 a day!. The doctor will understand but, I would definitely see if there is a safer migraine medicine to switch to immediately!. Anything that lists liver failure in huge letters as a warning is scary stuff!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you were told to take it twice a day, and the values were really low, that would indicate that the level of the drug in your body was not high enough!.!.!.therefore they knew you wer emost likely not taking it twice a day!.

If you don't feel that you need to take it as often, you need to follow up with the doctor and explain that taking it once in the morning is enough to control your problem, then go from there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The test indicated that your blood level of the medication is less than what MD thinks it should be FOR YOU!.

Dont' be upset!. Just realize that your physician wants the best possible for you!.
Take medications as prescribed!. I f there is a problem with that, talk to him/her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your GP prescribed the med for you to take twice a day, you have not, which showed in your results, if your concerned about the warnings of liver damage then talk to your GP maybe he will be able to put your mind at rest!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
