Question: Had a cold can't hear in 1 ear for 4 days so far!?
I've read other similar questions on here, but none really like what I have!. I've had a cold for 8 days now!. One day I was bent over repotting plants and my left hear really hurt all of the sudden!. BAD!. Ever since then I can't hear in that ear!. Sometimes it'll clear for no apparent reason!. It feels like water in there!. You know, when you go swimming and get water stuck in there and shake your head and you can feel/hear liquid in there!. I don't have an ear infection, but is it true your sinuses can push mucus in there!? I don't have medical and I'm afraid to go to the doc unless I have to!. It's just been 4 days and I know that is not usual!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, i had the same probem!.!.!.!.i tried alsorts and sometimes lying on that side of head hurt at night!! I did try the candles you put in your ear and it eases it slightly, i know this isnt what you want to hear but it will get better on ots own, the doctor told me its just mucus stuck behind the ear drum and there is no cure, she told me it would be like that for 2 months!! it cleared after 1!!i was sooooo happy!.

I had the same thing happen to me!. I let it go for a while and finally went to the doctor, they said I had an ear infection and the ear swelled shut in front of it so I couldn't hear and it couldn't heal!. They said if I had waited any longer, it would have gotten too serious to take care of with medicine!. So I'd get in there soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I've gotten really bad colds and bronchitis and would have flared up sinuses!. Last time I had a bad cold/bronchitis my ears plugged up and hurt but it didn't last four days!. Try going to the drug store and buying some ear drops!. There are pretty cheap but it might clear up anything in there and stops the hurt a little bit!. Talk to a pharmacist while you are there as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You should put some warm olive oil on a cotton ball and put it in your ear for 1/2 hr!. That's what my grandma used to do with us when ours were blocked!. Just warm up some olive oil on a spoon over a flame, it heats up real fast so be careful, and dip the cotton ball in it!. I hope you feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You have to sleep in a semi-sitting position to allow the fluid to drain overnight!. This probably also happened when you were also asleep, when you lie on one side!.

I know how if feels honey, i had the same for about a week due to a cold, its all related to sinus pressure !.!.!. (ears,nose,throat)!.!.!.
try asking at your pharmacy if MUCINEX or SUDAFED PE, is the best for you!!!

you might have an ear infection (from your sinuses pushing mucus up there)
or if you had a fever it could have done damage to your ear

You can put "sweet oil" which is really olive oil in your ears, then place cotton to hold it!. Put warm water in a pan or bowl!.!.!.!.then put the bottle of oil in the pan to just get it a little warm first, then drop it in your ear!. If you do not have a dropper, use a straw!.!.!.dip it in and hold the other end so the oil will stay in until you want it out, then take your finger off, and the oil will drop in your eat!.
