if you ask a doctor straight up for pain meds, certain name brands of meds and etc it is going to cause a red flag to go up!. too many people abuse the system and also do fraud things to get meds from forgeing more amounts on their scripts, calling in meds themselves pretending to be a doctor and etc!. if you act like a seeker then you will get labeled a seeker!. also if you see a doctor and act hateful, spend time chatting on your cell phone, have a ghetto/wt attitude, having your family and friends be disruptive!.!.!.then yea you probably wont get any!.

i work in a urgent care so i am around people like this all the time!. we do inspect reports on the computer and it will list all the names you go by, every address you give, check to see if you use multiple date of births or ssn, each doctor you have gone to, what type of medicine you have recieved and what pharmacy!.

i am not sure what you want meds for, what type or where you go but you are making it sound like all doctors are out to get you and not write you any pain meds!. once again IF YOU HAVE A SEEKER ATTITUDE YOU WILL BE TREATED LIKE A SEEKER!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My mom was referred to a pain management specialist and what I found was they would prescribe pain pills galore!.!.!.!.!.whether it was the best solution or not! I was not pleased with his recommendations at all!. My mom would have been a zombie and most likely fall and break a hip creating MORE problems than solutions!. A 96 yr old didn't need morphine and endocet plus hydrocodone! I ended up taking her off the morphine and endocet when I found an herbal remedy that helped her more than those two meds did!.

I did notice one oddity while sitting in the waiting room!. One guy came in to get a new prescription for a pain med he was taking and they wouldn't give it to him!. Seems he had a 30 day supply with several refills!. As you know, several months have 31 days!. Because of this he was about 3 days short of making it from one script to another!. They wouldn't give him any extra pills to carry over to the next 3 month period!. I thought that was kind of odd!. If they felt he needed them everyday and there was a logical reason he ran out early, then why wouldn't they refill early or give him some carry over pills!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have a underlying health problem, that can be backed up with blood tests, x-rays, MRI and diagnosis: I have a knife in my hand, ouch, they have to prescribe pain drugs!
The young, adult male entered the Lawrence Memorial Hospital emergency room writhing in pain!. "I think I am passing another kidney stone," he managed to croak before he doubled over!.

The pain of passing a kidney stone is unimaginable and has been known to make the most stoic cry, vomit, or pass out!. The patient was quickly triaged and examined!. A urine sample confirmed the presence of red blood cells, which can be a sign of a passing stone!. The physician who later recounted this story to me said he was eager to provide relief for this unfortunate patient - until his pleas for pain medication became more and more specific and demanding!.
"What are you going to give me, Doc!? Vicodin!? Dilaudid!? Percodan!? Please hurry!" the patient said!.

The state's highest court allowed a lower court to hear a lawsuit resulting from a car accident in which a 75-year-old man, who was on various medications for medical ailments, killed a 10-year-old boy!. The man, who had cancer, has since died, but the boy's family sued the man's physician because he had prescribed the medications without adequate (according to the lawsuit) instructions about driving!.

I am on Fentanyl and a few other drugs: Lyrica, Valium, but I still DRIVE! I read and reread the Patients Leaflet inside every box of patches, drugs and it clearly states: Warning may cause drowsiness, do not drive! The first week I did not drive, but it did not cause any drowsiness, so I started on small trips!. Long trip I have not done alone, always have someone with me, but thankfully to date have not had a accident, let alone come near to having an accident!.
To paint every Doctor with the same brush:Dr is afraid of getting arested for Precribing Pain Meds, is incorrect!. In all my dealing with Consultants, Nurses, Doctors, they have never left me in pain! However, they also have my Medical Records so know what my problems are!. Best of Luck
PS if you can reel off several pain killing drugs by name, then the chances are they will 'assume' you are faking to gain the drug!. In my past 30+ years of ill health I have NEVER asked for any specific drug, because I have no education on pharmacology and rely on my Doctor 100%!. I did not ask for the Fentanyl, Lyrica or Valium and I recall saying NO to Valium because I am not depressed!. That is not what Valium is prescribed for, gave my Doctor a giggle!Www@Answer-Health@Com
