Answers:
DO NOT leave the head of the tick in! It will fester and cause an infection!. Gently grasp the body of the tick with tweezers and exert slow, steady pressure DIRECTLY back in a straight line!. Do not tug or jerk at it!. What you want is to make the tick uncomfortable, so that it will release its bite on its own accord!. Then, it can be safely removed!.

Some things to avoid!. Do not squeeze too hard (It may regurgitate infected blood into the wound!.) Do not try to smother the tick with vaseline, nail polish, etc!. (It may die in the wound!.) Do not try to burn the tick off with a match!.
DO save the tick and take it and yourself, child or dog to medical or vetinary doctors if you or your child develops a fever, rash, chills, headache, fatigue or swollen glands within a few weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

NO NO NO
it does matter if the head is still in
the head of the tick is covered in bacteria and blood cells from other organisms
you need to squeeze the bitten skin pushing it upward
then you grasp the tick firmly by the sides and pull upward
excerting equal pressure on the body
and then put it in a contanor or bowl of clorox
or rubbing alchohol
good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
