Grapefruit juice and medications?!

Question: Grapefruit juice and medications!?
what is in the grapefriut juice that makes a problem with medications!?
how do you know it is not in other foods !?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Actually, this has more to do with how grapefruit may INCREASE metabolism in the body!.

Many diet aids of past and present have used the "Mighty Grapefruit," as a useful and somewhat benign tool as the base of their supplement!. However, when you utilize something (like grapefruit) while on certain types of medication, it can in turn cause that medication to be metabolized too quickly in the body!. Therefor, in the case of certain medications that must have a certain "blood level" you can actually burn off the medication too quickly, thus giving it a lower or poor effect for why it's being used!.

Hope this helps!

p!.s!. -- and while it really has little to do with the metabolism of NSAIDs, I can imagine that it could really "tear up" your stomach if taken together!. ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com
