Wow, I have the same kind of curve!

Get your doctor to refer you to a pain management doctor, that would be your next step in treating your pain with pain meds!.

About the Chiropractor--Like myinsurance, I am sure, they only cover so many visits a year BUT your Chiro can send in paper work explaining your conditions and how many treatments you will need!. Your insurance should approve the extra visits!.
I know many people that have ran out of visits but had extra visits approved!. My Chiro was going to do the same thing for me because I was almost out of my visits for the year but I decided that at this time, the pain I was in after leaving his office, wasn't worth it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might try a back specialist (orthopedic surgeon), a spine clinic or a pain clinic!. All ortho's won't necessarily be surgery oriented and might recommend therapy or meds!. Most insurance companies will cover costs for pain management - check with your insurance company!. You could also try a neurologist or neurosurgeon!. If your insurance company requires a referral, have your family doctor refer you!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is it possible to go to a different doctor and or switch insurance carriers!. My company offers an open enrollment period once a year!. I can either switch or stay with the same medical insurance group!. Tell your chiropractor what has happened!. He charges the maximum allowed!. Once you let him/her know that you'll have to self pay, maybe he'll give you a discount!. Mine did that for me in the beginning until the insurance kicked in when I had a job related injury!. Some money is better than no money, Right!? As far as the medication, ask to speak with someone in the hospital or insurance administration dept!. Tell them you that you are in allot of pain and that you want to switch doctors!. Good LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com

Try going to colleges where the students are practicing, in exchange for free care!.
The treatment sucks compared to a real Doc, but it is better then nothing!.

He probably stopped the pain killers becuase he knew the problem was long term, and pain killers especially narcotics are not meants to be long term!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ask him why!? tell him it is urgent that you need them, and if he doesn't give them to you still, then go to another doctor right away!.!.!.!.with a situation like yours there is NO reason for him not to give you pain medication!. Tell him you are in excruciating pain and it is impairing your ability to do your normal everyday things!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have a friend who got injured in a car accident and it messed up her back very badly!. She did not have insurance and she went to a chriopractor and he agreed to see her a couple of times a month for a VERY reduced rate!. She only paid about 1/4 of what he normally charged!.

So, my advice to you is to see if you can find one to do the same for you!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get your x-rays from you Chiropractor and take them to your primary doctor!. Let him view them, to get a second opinion!. Perhaps your primary doctor will see the need for pain meds, and possible rehab to help correct this problem!.!. Good LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com

you need a new doctor, get a mri, take them and your xrays, then get a referrel to a pain management doctor who can prescribe you meds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should see an orthopedic surgeon who will decide from MRIs if you need surgery or if pain medication and injections might help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Did you try acupuncture for pain relief!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sorry you're having so much pain!. I have lost the curve in my neck as well, but mercifully it doesn't usually hurt!. I have had bouts of more or less severe back pain for many years however and it can really affect your life!. Your insurance should cover a pain management clinic or doctor!. They use a variety of techniques to hep combat or deal with pain and are often very effective!. I would definetly check it out!. In addition there are many good stretches for the back and neck!. Your chiropractor should have given you some to do daily!. If not, consult with him or another doctor as to which excercises would be best for your condition!. Stretching and regular excercise have proved to be the best long term releivers of my pain!. Unfortunately pain releivers act as band-aids and don't fix the cause of the problem; probably why your doc has decided to stop prescribing them!. Again, I would advise you to get regular excercise ( I know, sometimes it's hard to work past the pain, but it does work) and seek out a good pain management doctor or clinic!. Wishing you better days ahead!Www@Answer-Health@Com
