It's very normal!. I've been in physical therapy on and off for two years due to shoulder instability and tendonitis because of muscle imbalance!. Whenever we crank it up a notch, I'm sore, often for a few days afterwards!. As long as it's just sore, and not bad painful (as in unbearable, pinching, or sharp pains from other than just a tight muscle) don't worry about it!. Take ibuprofen at will to help with the pain and possible swelling!. If there is swelling, use ice to bring it down and dull the pain, and if you're tight, you can try heat to loosen up your muscles!. PT just takes some getting used to- its often mildly painful but the results are majorly worth it!.
Don't worry, I'm 15 by the way!. Have been in this boat since 7th grade!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow, I know absolutely nothing about PT nor back problems but I'll give you random advice if you like!.!.!. No, it's not normal, you could be in a lot of really serious medical trouble, maybe a back tumor or something more serious!.

This is a question for your physical therapist or doc, not the brainiacs here!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's totally normal to be sore after physical therapy especially after the first couple times!. dont listen to the bozo who said you had a back tumor!! i was sore my first couple times and you'll continue to be sore but not as badly and eventually it'll go away, you're just stretching otherwise very tight or unused muscles, and the goal is to strengthen and use those muscles again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are probably not used to exercising those muscles and maybe did not warm up quite as much as you should have done!. It is probably nothing to worry about but obviously if the pain becomes any worse, or so bad you need to take pain killers, then I advice you see a doctor just to be safe!. The soreness will probably come back for the next 2-4 sessions then you should be OK after that!. but If in doubt, seek medical advice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try some rest!!!

Yes it is normal to be sore!. You streched a lot of muscles in ways that you normally do not stretch them!. The soreness will get better after a few sessions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will feel fine in about two days!. Keep stretching thoughWww@Answer-Health@Com
