Question: I just got my cast off my wrist and it is very stiff!?
my doctor says i dont need therepy but i dont want it stiff

it is stiff were it connects to the hand

i cant do pushups because of it too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Uh, DON'T try to do pushups! Haha, your bone is very brittle right now since you haven't used it in so long, and can re-break easily!. I broke my wrist in 3rd grade and it still feels "wobblier" than the other wrist!. And I'm now 19 years old!. Just let it be and it will be fine in about a week!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No push-ups!. But definitely try simple exercises like moving your hands and fingers around for a few minutes several times a day!. A little bit makes a big difference!.

If it was my wrist I would also be promoting good circulation by (very gently and softly) rubbing my fingers, hand, wrist, and arm for a few minutes every day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

don't worry that happened to me too!. the only time i had to have therapy was when i broke my arm near my elbow joint and could not extend my arm straight!. the other two times i broke my right wrist and the one time i broke my left, i healed in about a week and now i am just as strong as i was before, maybe stronger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it will be like that for a little bit because you haven't been able to move it while it was healing!.!.just keep stretching it and rotating the wrist!.!.!.it will loosen up!. the same thing happened to me when i had my cast removed from my arm!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Give your wrist time to recover!. U can wear compressive therapy wrist supports & health gloves to ease stiffness & reduce risk of reinjury!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay so i broke my right wrist in 8th grade and it was stiff and hard to use for me too!. But after about 1 month everything was back to normal so don't worry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i had a full arm cast for a couple months and both my wrist and elbow were stiff for a coule of days!. the doctor said it was because of calcium build upsWww@Answer-Health@Com

it will loosen up as time goes by!.!.!.but to speed it up do circles with your wrists and maybe hold a weight when you do it and dont get frustrated with it!.!.it will take time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
