Answers:
I know rgis sound so obvious and possibly patronising!.!.!. but what i do is i take my mind off the the thing im worried about
Really push yourself to think about something else - a happy memory
Also, breath slowly, breath in through your nose out through your mouth

I also find a nice cuppa hot chocolate does the trickWww@Answer-Health@Com

I do the following:

put on some loud music on my ipod and go for a 30 min run/fast jog!.

After that, come home, take a shower/wash and put on some loose clothing!.

Light a candel and practice some yoga (hatha yoga)!. Put on some calm music -or you'll have the buzzing ipod tunes going round your head all the way through! not the most relaxing thing!

Some excercises are (I'll describe these rather then giving the name of the pose)

sitting cross legged or with one or both feet on the opposite thigh and resting your hands on your thighs/close to the knee with the inner palms faceing up!.

Legnthen out both legs straight ahead of you and have your back straight up, stretch up your arms, then fold your upper body over your legs, rest your arms as closely as you can to your feet, eitherside and on the floor besides your feet rather then touching them though!.

Pick your upper body back up and cross one foot over one knee and keeping your bottom flat on the floor, twist your upper body opposite to the direction of the foot!. Do this on both sides!.

Lye in the floor, have your legs flat on the ground and resting comfortably on the ground, not shut together, not wide apart, have your body also flat and your arms between along side your body and at 90 degrees, whatever feels comfortabel within this!. Have your inner palms facing upwards!.

While in any of the above poses, focus on your breathing, breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, try to slow your breathing down but not so far its uncomfotable!.

Try not to let your mind wonder, if it does, bring it back to where you are and what your doing/how your physically feeling, your breathing, and also try ti visualise a candel flame burning (dont look at the candel, close your eyes and try to visualise it)!.

Also, talking to people about how you feel can make a difference to anxietyWww@Answer-Health@Com

When we are afraid we hyperventilate, this makes us feel short of breath, so we hyperventilate even more and so it gets worse and worse!.

The key is learning to breathe properly!. There are a few different deep breathing techniques, choose one you prefer and practice it!.

Sucking on a sugar free sweet, may also help you not to hyperventilate!.

I find this yoga technique very effective!.

Try pressing on one nostril and breathing in slowly through the other!.

As you breathe in expand your belly out, not your chest!. Hold your breath for a count of 3 then gently breathe out!.

Repeat alternating through each nostril!.

Any time you feel anxious, find a quiet place, do your breathing technique and you should feel calm very quickly!.

Be aware, caffienne, high sugar foods and drink, and alcohol can cause anxiety attacts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Relax your forehead, jaw, shoulders and hands, when we are anxious or stressed we tense our bodies unintentionally!.!. Breathe slowly in through your nose 5seconds, hold 5 or 6 seconds, out through your mouth 5 seconds!.
