Question: Pain in back center of neck, around neck, under chin and back of throat to swallow & simply move!?
1st I got this horrible Flu!. I thought it was going away, I got worst and landed straight in bed for 3-4 days with Chills, fever, chronic bronchial spasm coughs, sever sinus infection & at the same time I was enduring a Gum infection!.1st I was given Amoxicillin!. I did not improve then I was given Cephlexin!. I was still the same, my doctor then finally looked at the back of my throat with a PA, they put me on Avelox!. I still have a painful sore throat!. I always have pain near my ears, at the back of my throat & under my chin, i can feel a small ball both under my right chin & at times by the bone of my right ear!. This has caused the pain in my neck mucles to be extremely painful!. However,at least once a year, since I was 27 (5 yrs ago) I developed a history of pain in neck, back, legs, ankles, muscles & joints!. How do I approach my doctor for answers and better tests, xrays or possible cat scans!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is this the worst pain you've ever had!?

If so, GO DIRECTLY TO HOSPITAL, do not pass go!. All the symptoms you have described suggest possible meningitis!. It may be a viral meningitis, not bacterial, as it sounds a lot slower!. Another possibility is septicaemia!. You don't want to mess with either of these things, as they can (and do) kill!.

I think you should go to hospital anyway!. Sounds to me like your doctor is not very good!. He/she should at least have done a throat and a nasal swab to find out if you had an infection, what it was caused by, and what to treat it with!. Do not go back to this doctor, find a new one, talk to other people and find out who is good!. Ask at the hospital if you like, they will certainly know who the good doctors in your town are!.

Please do not delay!. You should not be putting up with this pain, and it could be serious!. It may not be serious, but better you find out now!. The hospital will surely do enough tests to work out what is going on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you been to an ear, nose and throat specialist!? Maybe they would be able to track down the cause!. You may have something wrong with a gland!.
As for the pain, I am on a liquid vitamin and mineral supplement that has helped with my over all pain management!. I have lupus and am post polio but it has helped me get off of three medications in the last year!. Check out the link below and read the testimonials!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
