Question: What exactly happens when your arm falls asleep!?
I'm sure this happens to a lot of people, especially in their sleep!.!.!.I woke up last night and my arm fell asleep!. You know how it feels all heavy and weird, you can't feel anything!.!.!. gross! Anyway, got me thinking!.

Actually what happened was you must have compressed your nerves during your sleep, it's not blood circulation!. It is difficult to compress arteries/circulatation because arterial blood flows with high pressure and have collaterals at the peripheries!. Have you ever had a jolt when your elbow accidentally hit something!? It is something kinda like that!. The tingling sensation after the compression is removed is due to 'restored' connection of the nerves!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think its because the blood circulation gets cut off to a certain part of the body!. When you move the limb it starts to wake up again and thats when you feel the pins and needles sensation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
