Way to stabalize shoulders at night?!

Question: Way to stabalize shoulders at night!?
I have shoulder instability in both shoulders due to lax joints and being a competive swimmer and have been treated for the instability and over-use injuries because of it (such as tendonitis and muscle imbalance) through physical therapy on and off for two years!. When my muscles flair up with irritation, they get really sore and painful and alternate between aches and burning constantly!. Lately, I've found that a source of my flair ups ahve occurred from waking up in the morning or middle of the night with intense pain from laying with my arm above my head or in the same position laying under my pillow!. Kinda like this but with one arm-- http://images1!.comstock!.com/Imagewarehou!.!.!.

No matter how I hard I try, I always end up in that position!. I have tried a standard cheap sling but it comes undone or causes other pain!. Are there any other braces or tricks I can use to keep my shoulder in a pain-free position at night!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's tough trying to sleep and also think about your shoulder position at the same time!. You might consider this shoulder brace because it limits your shoulder mobility - simply tighten up on the straps at night to prevent the arm from going above your head!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try sleeping on your back instead of your side!. you could also try to sleep on your stomach but thats not the greatest thing to do so only do it as a last resort!.
i have insability in one shoulder and impengiment, tendoitis, and grinding in the other so i know that it hurts so i try to sleep on the shoulder that hurts less or on my stomach because i also can't sleep on my back(previous tailbone injury)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Check out this site http://www!.armsling!.com/!. You'll pay about 35 dollars for a sling or 50 dollars for a sling and swathe!. But the comfort and quality are well worth the price!. I haven't found another sling like this one, not at all like the cheap ones that slip and fall off and cause more pain than they're worth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
