this happens to me all the time!.
a hudmidifier would help, but it's not necessary!.
this might just be because of the time of year, but if it's happening alot you might want to talk to your doctor!. this isn't serious but it is quite annoying!.
but here are some things that could help:
never sleep with a fan on your face, that will make it about ten times worse!.
if you wake up with a sore throat, gargle salt water!.
eat salt water taffy throughout the day!. it sounds stupid but it will take the edge off!.
but if none of that is working then definitely go to a drugstore and buy some throat lozenges or gum for sore throats!.

good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

My best advice is to just buy one!. It's not that expensive!. Of course you could also spend some time and look for your old one but the new models today are smaller and more power efficient!.

Other options that aren't as !.!.!. good are the following: In the Winter, drink some warm milk before going to sleep!. Also place a mug of water near your heater but make sure you don't spill it! In the Summer, open up the windows more!. Natural air is always better anyways!. But if you can't do this you can place a bowl of ice behind your fan or next to the AC!. This also makes the conditioned air cooler =]

I hate it when it happens to me too!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should just get a humidifier!. They sell ones for if you have a cold or allergies that are small, just for a bedroom!. They're way less expensive than the big ones meant for dry homes and basements!.

For now, keep mentholated cough drops by your bed for when you wake up!. I really like the lemon Ricola ones (they come in a yellow papery-ish bag)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

when you go to sleep drink lots of water and take vitamins!and then when you wake up in the morning drink a lot of water and take some more vitimins!!!and also drink A LOT OF WATER!
AND ALSO DRINK GINGER ALE!!!THE GINGER ALE HELPS ALOT!AND TRUST ME!!!I HAVE GONE THROUGH THIS BEFORE!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i put a metal pan of water on the floor by the heat vent and it kinda works but i also have allergy's so i use Neal-med!. you can pick it up at a pharmacy and you use it to flush your nasals and throat before you go to bed!. at least that is what works for me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have heard, but cannot prove it, but common sense tells me it should work, that placing a pail full of water into a room with dry air will help to make the air humid!. All you will have to do is fill the pail with water again when it's empty!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Make sure your windows are closed at night and drink lots of water during the day!. You can run very hot water in your shower and make your bathroom steamy and sit in there for a few minutes!. Hope this helps!. Feel better!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to have this problem!. For me it was caused by sleeping on my back!. Now I sleep on my side with my face pointed slightly towards the floor and it doesn't happen anymore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do you have a raditator in your bedroom!? If you do, put a metal pan filled with water on top of the raditator!. It is just like a humidifier!

hope this helps!

I have the same problem so my mom bought a humidifier!. If you don't feel like driving to look for it you can always shop at online stores!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can put a container of water in the room with you in lieu of a humidifer, but a humidifier will work better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Put bowls of water around the house at night (especially in your room) - or simmer a pot of water on the stove during the day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

even if you sleep with your mouth closed you're breathing air through your nose!. Look for that humidifier or buy one!. That's your best bet!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow, mean person above ^Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe you're suffering from allergies!. First of all, I would recommend a humidifier, but the sore throat can be from other things!. Actually, the day before yesterday, I stupidly mowed the grass in our backyard!. The next day (yesterday) I had an awful sore throat, stuffy nose, and was sneezing like crazy (which hurt my throat even more)!. Do you have this all year round!? Or is it just in season now!? I tend to get sore throats from seasonal allergies (sometimes wake up with it, and then have them go away as the day goes on)!. Maybe see a doctor!? He/She could tell you what it's really from!.
Well, either way, humidifiers do help with allergies, too!. I think it's a good idea to get one!. You could also try taking a steamy shower or bath at night or when you wake up!. If you keep the bathroom door shut, the air there will become humid; definitly not dry!.
Be sure to buy throat lozenges (you can get them at a local supermarket) for when your throat bothers you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
