Ruptured post tibial tendon in foot...?!

Question: Ruptured post tibial tendon in foot!.!.!.!?

I have been in terrible pain the past few weeks and just found out today that I have a ruptured post tibial tendon and will need surgery!. Has anyone ever had this procedure done!? How long were you out of work and how painful was it afterward!? I was told about 6 weeks off work!. Will it really be that long!? Just want some general info on this procedure!.
