Question: Stop insurance from sending info about my doc!. visits to my parents!?
I am on a policy that my father holds!. Is there any way i can prevent my insurance company (UHC) from sending info!. about when I went to the doctor, how much the claim was, to my parents!? I live at a different address, am an adult, and really don't want all this information going to them that is my own personal information!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Since your father is the policy holder, the insurance company is required to send billing information and details on services provided since he is footing the bill for the premiums!.

You cannot have it both ways!. Your father has classified you as a "dependent" to enroll you into his coverage!. Since he is paying for the coverage, he is informed when a charge is made against his policy!. The detail of information he gets is very limited though!.
