Popping the blisters will certainly help!. The best method is to take a needle (sterilized, of course - just use a little rubbing alcohol between blisters) and puncture the blister (and no, it won't hurt)!. Have a warm, damp washcloth handy as you will be surprised by the amount of fluid that is built up!.

Once the blisters are popped (be prepared, you may have to re-pop them again the next day), a warm compress (like a fresh, warm - and wetter this time - washcloth) will help!. After that, get a band-aid over the blistered area if shoes are going back on to prevent rubbing/irritation!.

Finally, rest!. Stay off the feet for a bit and wear some boat shoes (i!.e!. - docksiders) if walking for a bit - but don't forget the band-aids!.

Some people will recommend soaking in warm water with epson salts, but that never helped me!. It actually makes the skin softer at first (think swimming for a while and how your feet get kind of pruny) and may make walking a little more painful!. Just pop, wash, compress, bandaid!.

Finally, if he's in a lot of pain, have him take an asprin or ibuprofrin!. This will provide a little relief!. Locally treated with the warm washcloths, though, his feet will feel much better!. Just remember: warm not hot, and be sure to pop those blisters first!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
